(MENAFN) Moroccan and American forces commence joint military drills in southern Morocco on Saturday, with a schedule to wrap them up April 7th.
This year’s “African Lion” drills will be joined by a great number of Moroccan and American military personnel.
General Staff of the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces confirmed in a statement the exercises to be comprising of command post, maneuvering, peace keeping operations and aerial refueling.
The statement continued that the exercises are also planned to consist of training on anti-terrorism missions, land and air drills, along with a tactical simulation.
It further added that the exercises would see the participation of observes from Tunisia, Spain, Senegal, Canada and the UK.
