Akron African American Cultural Association holding festival this weekend at Lock 3 Park

AKRON, Ohio — EDITOR’S NOTE: The video above previously aired on 3News on July 18, 2022.

The Akron African Americal Cultural Festival is set to take place at Lock 3 Park in downtown Akron this weekend. The event will take place on Saturday, July 23, and Sunday, July 24. 

This year, the festival’s theme is Bi-Nka-Bi (bite not each other). 

At Lock 3 Park, attendees will enjoy an African marketplace, food vendors, service organizations, health outreach, COVID-19 vaccination stands, a chess tournament, free haircuts, a youth tent with a school supplies giveaway and much more. 

On Saturday, admission is free all day between 12–8 p.m. On Sunday, admission is free before 3 p.m., but will cost $10 after 3 p.m.
