MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Wisconsin has one of the nation’s largest gaps between black and white academic success of any state, according to the Nation’s Report Card.

While school may be out for the summer, the African American Youth Initiative and Closing the Achievement Gap Consortium are still working to close the achievement gap.

Randee Drew is the head director for the Males, African American Youth Initiative.

Drew joined CBS 58 on Wednesday, July 27 to tell us what schools are participating in CAGC and how they’re noticing a change in students.
