About 85 people attended the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Pre-Holiday Celebration at the Texas African American Museum in Tyler on Saturday.
Speakers talked about King’s life, his accomplishments, how his work impacted East Texas before and after his assassination, and how to continue his legacy. Keynote speaker Greg Muckleroy, TAAM Executive Director Gloria Washington and other speakers said it’s up to the current generation to keep King’s dream alive.
