Legendary Music Icon Tina Turner Passes Away at 83

With over 100 million records sold worldwide, Tina Turner was one of the best-selling recording artists of all time. She was a recipient of 12 Grammy Awards and the first black artist and first woman to be on the cover of Rolling Stone.

Despite enduring emotional and physical abuse, as well as battling health issues including stroke, intestinal cancer, high blood pressure, damaged kidneys, and kidney failure, Turner continued to persevere. She underwent a kidney transplant and on May 24, 2023, Turner passed away at her home in Kusnacht, Switzerland, at the age of 83.

Death is always a painful reminder of how fragile life really is. Turner came on this stage called life, lived it to the fullest, and left a lasting impact on those who were touched by her music.
