African American Heritage Society’s Black Tie Affair returns Feb. 3

The African American Heritage Society of Williamson County will host the 23rd annual Black Tie Affair on Saturday, Feb. 3.

This year’s fundraiser theme is “A Royal Courtship, Connecting the Past and Securing the Future.” The event will honor the Sol House family as the 2023 Pioneer Family and will feature live music from Julius Fisher and the Genius Band.

The event will take place at Embassy Suites in Franklin with a social hour at 6 p.m. and the main program to follow at 7. Tickets are available online here, with proceeds from the event funding the nonprofits ongoing preservation efforts, including the Merrill-Williams House.
