Evansville African American Museum to host Junior League talk

A woman who has served as Junior League leader in cities around the world will come to Evansville next month to present the “The History of Women of Color in the Junior League.”

Zena Martin will speak at the event on Feb. 4 at the Evansville African American Museum. A “social hour” will begin at 1 p.m., with the presentation set for 2.

Martin previously served as the president of Junior League London. She currently serves with the Junior League of Atlanta.

The Junior League has branches around the world, including in Evansville. Its mission statement is to “advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.”
